Bengaluru, Aug 8: Deputy chief minister (DCM) Dr C N Ashwathnarayan informed that notice is served to government employees who did not attend the Covid-19 pandemic control work.

Speaking to the scribes in the city, Narayan said, "Some employees are refusing to attend work as they are scared of contracting coronavirus infection. Notice is served to such employees. Once we receive their explanation to the notice, we will plan further action.

"Legal action will be taken against people who do not involve in Covid-19 related work. There is no need to get scared about coronavirus. Some corona warriors are also not attending work due to the fear of contracting coronavirus. We will definitely take action on such people,” he said.

Replying to the query on controlling the flood and rain fury in the state in the wake of incessant rains that are lashing various parts of the state, the DCM said, "Government is ready in all sense to face the natural calamity that might arise due to the rain fury. Precautionary measures are in the place where there are chances of flood. Required funds are already released to the district administrations. Union government is also sending aid to us."

Serving notice for government staff who did not attend Covid-19 related work due to fear ,is not a big deal.Serving notice by sitting inside the air conditioner room is always easy but implementation is very difficult.Staff who did not attend Covid-19 related works are also human beings, they too got their families, children, loved ones, definitely they get fear.If the staff do not attend, can these superiors who want to serve the notice go and work in their place on trial basis at least for few days.Sir,think on humanitarian ground, not your power.Today you may be enjoying the happiness of your chair, which is temporary.Every dog has its own day. Before thinking of serving notice,go and stand in front of the mirror and evaluate yourself. When you point one finger at others, your three fingers are pointing at you.Mind it well.Don't use your power much.Government is by the people, for the people and of the people.
