Udupi, Jul 30: “Backward class morcha meant to serve various sections of people in the society is extremely strong,” said BJP district president Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak. He was speaking after presiding over a meeting of the office-bearers of the morcha.
“The party members must be involved in the party activities and serve people with the irrevocable will and jurisdiction. The central and state governments have made many people's plans for the welfare of the backward classes, which should be delivered to the eligible beneficiaries in a timely manner. Activists should work hard in every activity and strengthen party unity,” he said.
BJP Mangaluru division in-charge K Udaya Kumar Shetty said, "Working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a matter of pride. The party which had only two Lok Sabha members in 1982 has grown massively by the hard work and collaborative forces of the activists. The well-formed Morcha, which united the people of the various classes of society, is very active and needs to become a platform for which respond to the aspirations of people."
District backward class morcha president Surendra Paniyoor said, 60 per cent of the electorates are the backward classes. Let us strengthen the party by earning the trust of people of all strata through our services to the people. We should work to make BJP win in all the upcoming elections with the maximum number of votes."
District secretary-general Kuthyar Navin Shetty presented organisational ideas for unity. Backward class district chief secretary Sathish Kulal, Arun Kumar Bana and office bearers were present. BJP district president Manohar S Kalmady welcomed the gathering. Sadananda Uppinakudru compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
