Udupi, Jul 30: “COVID positive cases are on the rise in the district. Work avoiding setbacks are predominant in treatment and facilities,” said district in-charge secretary M Maheshwar Rao.
He was speaking after presiding over a review meeting of the current COVID-19 situation at the district panchayat auditorium on Thursday.
“Investigate the ILI and Sari cases in the district, register details of those who have obtained medicine for them in medical shops and obtain their health condition. Ask hospitals not to insist on COVID tests when other patients get admitted into the hospitals,” he said.
“Bed management facilities and GPS installed ambulance tracking facilities are available for admitting patients into the hospitals. There is no scarcity of funds in the natural calamity fund. Additional equipment will be bought and other arrangements will be made if necessary,” he said.
“Make sure that there is no scarcity of paddy seeds, manure and pesticide for cultivation. Complaints of illegal sand mining are being received. Register complaints against violations of GPS, trips and decks and watch out for violations especially at nights,” he said.
