Udupi, Jul 30: A piece of great news for children who read fiction, CLI-The Colt (Mysooru Chimera) a historical venture tale woven around the cultural capital Mysuru using the strands of fantasy and true historical facts and which chronicles the grandeur of world-famous Dasara of the vibrant Karnataka state written by Kling Johnson from Udupi who works as a fire and safety officer at Kasturba Hospital Manipal has been awarded the honourable mention under cultural diversity category at The International 2020 Purple Dragonfly Book award.
Purple Dragonfly award is a worldwide book competition created in 2009 to celebrate the best books in children's literature. The Purple Dragonfly recognizes and honours accomplished as well as newly published and younger writers. The award is divided into 57 categories ranging from books on the environment, cooking to sports and family issues.
The Purple Dragonfly Book awards are geared toward books that appeal to children of all ages across the globe.
CLI–The Colt, e-books were unveiled by Asha Bhat (Bollywood Actress, Miss Supranational 2014, daring journalist of recent Bollywood flick Junglee, and upcoming release Darshan’s Roberrt) last year on June 12 and is now available in all leading e-stores.
