Moodbidri, Mar 9: The ‘6th Karnataka Kannada Mini Film Festival’ will be held at Navami Theater from Tuesday March 9 to Thursday March 11. It is being organized under the aegis of Yuva Pratibha Vedike–Karavali unit and Shree College.
Kannada movie ‘Gubbacchi’, directed by Abhaya from Mangalore, which bagged the National Award and was reckoned an excellent movie during the film festival held here in 2009, will be screened as the inaugural movie on Tuesday. Entry is open for all from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm.
Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president Harikrishna Punaroor, Mangalore Lions Club president Chandrahas Shetty, young entrepreneur Mithun, Tulu stage artiste and director Devdas Kapikad, and others will attend the inaugural ceremony.
‘Dhanya’, the first film ever acted in by Dr M Mohan Alva, ‘Arasulannu Arasutta’, a documentary on Tulunadu dynasties by director Borgalgudde Manjunath, ‘Bhava’, directed by Prakash Kabettu, and 13 other movies will be screened on the occasion.
‘Madhyanada Hadu’, directed by Prakash Babu, Bangalore, as well as five telefilms will be screened under ‘Colourful Past’.
