Mangaluru, Jul 16: St Aloysius College (SAC) organized ‘Aloysius Jaala Santhe’, a social entrepreneurship project which was inaugurated virtually on Wednesday July 15 at St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. Mamatha, dean, Entrepreneurship and Consultancy, coordinated the programme. Walter Nandalike, founder and managing director, Daijiworld Media, was the chief guest of the programme.
In his inaugural address he congratulated the college for taking the initiative to create a virtual market platform for various homemade products and home grown product manufacturers.
Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal in his presidential address stated that the initiative taken by the college will surely help those who are needy and those who cannot have the direct access to the market. Dr Narayan Bhat, convener of the programme, explained the concept of ‘jaala santhe’ and its way of functioning.
Homemade product manufacturers have appreciated the move of the college for creating virtual market for their products.
Dr Alwyn D’Sa, controller of examinations, Dr Dennis Fernandes, director of Arrupe block, Prof John Edward D’Silva, director, Xavier block, Dr Senek D’Souza, dean, HR and staff members witnessed the programme.
The programme was compered by Dr Sudha Kumari, assistant professor of Kannada department.
Mamatha delivered the welcome address and rendered the vote of thanks.
