Bantwal: ‘Three rural roads to be developed under PM Gram Sadak scheme’ - MP Nalin

Bantwal, Jul 16: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that work of development and widening of three rural roads of the taluk, which was being demanded by public since a long time, is undertaken under the grant received through Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak scheme.

Nalin was speaking after the foundation stone laying ceremony of the project, along with MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadyguthu, the estimated cost of which is Rs 30 crore, the grant of which is provided by PM Gram Sadak scheme.

Nalin said, "I thank PM Narendra Modi, union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, who have given grant to the project, CM Yediyurappa, rural development minister Eshwarappa, seniors of the party and MLA Rajesh Naik, who moved the proposal for this project."

The foundation stone laying ceremony during the programme was carried out for three roads of Golthamajalu-Manchikatte-Neerabailu-Keshavanagara-Ammur road at a cost of Rs 14.33 crore, Kolnadu-Bolpade-Madaramoole road at a cost of Rs 9.03 crore and Kanyana-Nekkarekadu-Balekodi-Akkarekodi-Beripadavu road at an estimated cost of Rs 6.67 crore.

Harikrishna Bantwal, president of Keionics, Karnataka state, Thungappa Bangera, Manjula Madhava Mave, Kamalakshi Poojary, All members of zilla panchayat, Mahabala Alva, taluk panchayat member, Padmanabha Kottary, former MLA, Nemiraja Rai, president, APMC Bantwal, Devappa Poojary, president Bantwal BJP, Sulochana G K Bhat, Sandesha Shetty, Vajranatha Kalladka, Narayana Kulal, Monappa Devasya, Mustafa K S, Ganesh Rai Mani and contractor Premanth were present on the occasion.
