Mangaluru, Jul 13: "Complete medical treatment is being provided in private hospitals also under Ayushman Bharat scheme," said minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Speaking to Daijiworld, he said, "Ayushman Bharat cardholders are entitled to complete medical treatment even in private hospitals. Patients need to only carry Aadhar cards. We have entered into an agreement with hospitals for free medical treatment even if a patient has ration cards either APL or BPL."
"Arogya Mitra is assigned to all the hospitals from our department. There is a help desk in every hospital. It is sufficient if an Aadhar card is shown there. Free treatment will be provided if they are found to be corona infected," he added.
"We monitor the situation after visiting all the hospitals. Hence, we will ensure that people are not put to hardship during the week-long lockdown. We also request the people to cooperate," Kota said.
"There are more than 2,000 beds in private hospitals at present. Hostel facilities will be provided when necessary,” he said.
