Mangaluru, Jul 13: The district administration team on July 13 visited KMC Hospital Attavar to understand the procedures and protocols followed by the Hospital for the treatment of COVID-19 positive patients.

District Administration team led by Nalin Kumar Kateel state president BJP and member of Parliament Dakshina Kannada, Kota Srinivas Poojary- district in-charge minister, Sindhu B Rupesh deputy commissioner, Vedavyasa Kamath MLA Mangalore South Constituency in-charge district health officer and the team had visited KMC Hospital Attavar and understood in detail about the modules followed in KMC Hospital Attavar for the treatment of COVID-19 positive patients. The team also enquired on the treatment options under Ayushman Bharath and other schemes for COVID-19 patients and also understood the clinical guidelines and protocols followed at KMC Hospital Attavar.

The meeting went for more than one hour with Dr Deepak Madi, deputy medical superintendent presenting the various protocols and guidelines followed at the Hospital for treatment of COVID-19 Patients. The district administration team appreciated the efforts and the structural methods followed and clinical excellence standards in treating COVID-19 patients. The visiting team was delighted to see the way Ayushman Bharath Scheme for the coronavirus patients was operating at the Hospital and also expressed their appreciation over the same. The statistics of various COVID patients tested, treated and discharged were also presented to the team on the occasion. In addition to that, there were many suggestions from the clinical side given by the administration team of KMC Hospital Attavar.
