Kasargod: Truck topples across national highway - Vehicular traffic stranded

Kasargod, Jul 6: A goods truck fell across national highway 66 at Uppala in the district on Monday July 6 morning. The accident threw the traffic out of gear for several hours.

The truck in question was moving toward the town from the direction of Mangaluru with a load of heavy eequipment needed for a mobile tower construction. The driver lost control over the vehicle after which the truck overturned. The driver however, escaped with minor injuries.

The traffic on Kasargod - Mangaluru national highway stands suspended. The work of clearing the truck from the highway is in progress.
