Beltangady: Five thieves arrested, vehicles worth Rs 3.6 lac confiscated

Beltangady, Jul 5: ASI and police personnel of Beltangady police station arrested five people in connection with the bike thefts that were going on under the police station limits of Beltangady.

The accused were arrested while the police were routinely checking vehicles near Jain Pete on July 4.

The arrested accused are identified as Vijaya alias Anjaneya (23), resident of Suratkal, Pradeep alias Chethan alias Pradi (27), resident of Ulaibettu, Sudish KK alias Munna (20), resident of Balepuni, Poopadikallu, Bantwal, Mohana alias Putta (21), resident of Kuntini Layila village Ujire, Beltangady and Nitin Kumar (22), resident of Kuntini Layila village Beltangady.

The cops have confiscated four bikes and an Omni car that was used for the thefts. The total value of the confiscated vehicles is around Rs 3,60,000. The accused have been produced at the Beltangady court.
