Mangaluru: Theft near Lingappayyakadu - Thieves held in swift operation

Mangaluru, Jul 3: The Mulky police have succeeded in arresting two thieves who entered the residence of Kallappa at Bijapur Colony, Lingappayyakadu, Karnad Sadashiva Nagar near Mulky on Wednesday, and stole gold jewellery, within a day.
 
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohanraj and Manjunath, both residents of Bijapur Colony. Ornaments worth Rs 1.6 lac were recovered from their possession.
 
A team comprising of Mulky police inspector Jayaram Gowda and sub-inspector Sheetal Alagoor functioning under the directions of the city police commissioner made these arrests.
