Udupi, Jun 30: “Live broadcast in 10 blocks and in 176 centres is arranged for the oath-taking programme of the new KPCC president, D K Shivakumar on July 2,” said KPCC vice president, programme in-charge, Manjunath Bhandary.
Speaking at a press conference at the Udupi press club on June 30 he said that after becoming the state president, he has dreams of uniting the party in Kerala cadre model. “The unique arrangement is made so that the programme may be watched at every booth level with the participation of the party workers. The programme will be relayed in all the important TV channels in the state. All the preparations are made in Udupi for the transmission in digital form,” he said.
“Congress has faced setbacks both in the country and the state. Congress activists should be strengthened from booth level. We should be bound by the constitution. Youth should be asked to follow the principles of the Congress party. Congress should win everywhere,” he said.
Former MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake, U R Sabhapathi, Udupi district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavooru, Mangaluru corporators Navin D’Souza, Harish Kini and others were present.
