Mangaluru, Jun 28: In the wake of rising number of coronavirus cases in the city, the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) will be closed to public from Monday June 28.
Public will be banned from entering the MCC building for a period of one week from Monday, informed city mayor Diwakar Pandeshwar.
The decision to close the MCC has been taken as a precautionary measure, he said.
However, a help desk will be set up outside the MCC building where people can submit their applications and requests.
On Sunday June 28, the city reported three deaths due to coronavirus. The victims were a 57-year-old woman from Bantwal, a 31-year-old man from Suratkal and a 51-year-old woman from Jokatte.
