Mapusa, Jun 26: The Mapusa Municipal Council on Wednesday carried out another sanitisation drive at the Mapusa fish market and sanitised the sections where the meat and chicken stalls are located.

In a report by TOI, the MMC chairperson was quoted as saying, "The drive was undertaken as a precautionary measure against COVID-19. We used our own municipal staff to carry out the sanitisation by spraying sodium hydroxide."

The sanitisation of the meat and fish market was also undertaken when the lockdown was still in force.
