Bantwal: Police complaint filed over derogatory post against Ramanath Rai on social media

Bantwal, Jun 17: Puttur social media in-charge Jagadish Kaje has lodged a police complaint in Bantwal town police station urging for legal action against Umesh Acharya for making derogatory statements against former minister B Ramanath Rai on social media.

The complaint states that Bellippadi Ramanath Rai was elected seven times to Vidhan Sabha and became minister of home, forests, transport, ports and fisheries in the prestigious state government. “He has indulged creatively in religious and social sectors and become popular among people.”

The complainant has urged for suitable legal action against Umesh Acharya who has made insulting statements against Ramanath Rai on Facebook.

KPCC social media state secretary K C Ashok Shetty and Puttur block Congress former secretary Raviprasad Shetty were present.
