Bantwal: Farmer from Gundimajalu passes away due to electrocution

Bantwal, Jun 17: In a tragic incident which happened at Gundimajalu within the limits of Vittal police station on Tuesday, June 16 afternoon, a farmer was electrocuted.

The deceased was Bhaskar Gowda from Gundimajalu. At around 2 pm on Tuesday, he had left home to switch on the agricultural pump in the farm to fill the water tank at his house. As he did not return for long, Bhaskar's wife Priyanka, went looking for him. She found that he was lying on the ground. Apparently, when he pressed the pump switch, electricity flowed through him, causing his instant death.

Personnel from Vittal police station visited the spot and registered a case.
