Mangaluru, Jun 5: Life is slowly returning to normalcy in the midst of the corona scare. Buses are seen plying on roads after June 1. A few private bus conductors are wearing protective gear to avoid COVID-19 infection during their work.

The conductor of bus route No 6A that runs to Shaktinagar from State Bank is wearing protective clothing that resembles a PPE kit.

The district administration and the health department have directed the bus staff to wear gloves, mask and have health check-ups. But wearing COVID protective clothing in addition is being commended by the people.

A standard PPE Kit costs around Rs. 1000/- and a bus conductor cannot afford to change it daily. Once donned, docking will take place after one month. During this time, his PPE Kit can have enough virus load to infect few thousands..... ! Great people with great ideas..... !

All this is ok for a week or just to show off.

Now below message is for all bus people. City, CC, Government, Private.

    1. Do they sanitize bus after every trip. (No. They don't. Only once in a day they do coz for every sanitization they have to pay Rs.200/-)

    2. Do they carry only 30 passengers or half passengers than usual. ( No. Buses are full like before. Infact u can find passengers standing in bus and travelling)

With what conditions government asked them to run bus? Does anybody is following this? I tell you nobody is bothered anymore. I seriously don't understand whome we are fooling. Are we fooling ourselves or we fooling Corona?
