Modi inaugurates Silver Jubilee celebrations of Rajiv Gandhi Health University

Bengaluru, June 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the silver jubilee celebrations of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka via video conferencing from New Delhi on Monday.

He also inaugurated an online seminar to mark the occasion.

"Completing 25 years means Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences is in the prime of its youth. This is the age to think even bigger and do even better. I am confident that the University will continue to scale new heights of excellence in the times to come,’’ he said.

The Prime Minister said, "Had it not been for global pandemic, I would have loved to be with you all in Bengaluru to mark this day.’’

Modi said the world is looking up to our doctors, nurses, medical staff & scientific community with hope and gratitude. "The world seeks both ‘care’ and ‘cure’ from you,” Modi said.

Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwatha Narayana, Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor Dr Saccidananda, Tejasvi Surya, Bengaluru South MP and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
