Kundapur, May 8: Kolloor Mookambika Service Co-operative Society distributed food kits to the poor families in the gram panchayat limits on Friday at their office premises.
MLA Sukumar Shetty said that COVID-19 is under control due to the sincere efforts of Asha workers, doctors, police and officials. People are facing problems without jobs. Therefore, the distribution of food kits at this juncture is commendable.
"All should maintain social distance and wear masks in public places in order to control the pandemic."
Food kits were distributed to nearly 100 poor families and 20 Asha workers in the gram panchayat limits. MLA Sukumar Shetty was felicitated for working to control the virus.
Co-operative Society president Rohith Joishi presided over the programme. Vice-president Sandeep R, directors Arun Kumar Shetty, Nagesh Dali, Sridevi Bhat, Arun Kumar Shetty, Rajesh Naik Durgi, society manager Ganesh Shanbhog, gram panchayat president Prakash, village accountant Veeresh, panchayat development officer Rajesh, Kodachadri cooperative society president Ramesh Ganiga, Vishweshwara Hegde, Jeep owners association president S Kumar, Taxi drivers association president Ashok Kumar Shetty, Shivaram Krishna Bhat, Vittal Gowda and Vijay Kumar Shetty were present.
