'Get registered to travel to outstation states' - Udupi additional DC

Udupi, May 1: Labourers, tourists, students and other people of outstation districts and states are stuck down in the district due to lockdown. Now action is taken by the district administration to send them to their respective hometowns or places where they belong to.

Now the details of these people have to be gathered and made ready. In order to do this people can visit district website https://udupi.nic.in.

Hence, anyone who wants to travel to other states can register their and their family member details on the shown website.

For more details public are requested to contact Nagaraj Rao, district statistical officer on mobile 9880278233 or toll free number 1077. This order is taken out by additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu.

    I am stuck here along with my friend in manipal. We are studying MSC nutrition in MAHE. At present we are staying in madcap emerald apartment, near coin circle.. it's been one month we got stuck here we dont have any mess or hotels opened so we are cooking on our own and the expenses are very high over here which we cannot afford for long...we are looking forward for help .     This Corona has made almost everyones life to hell.All over the world people suffer with job lost,stuck up somewhere ,no travel possibilitys.How long ,noone knows.what a situation.cant go out of house,no visits.wear masks all over like dummys.No operations,people suffer ,cant go to hospital what a situation.No market ,People buy grocerrys like in war times.Only God must help.

    Me and my 3 yr old daughter have come to Udupi on a vacation just 3 days before Lockdown... No idea, we could get stuck here. I have left my Husband and mother in law back in Pune... Now I have to get back to Pune. The website doesn't give any option to fill in the details. It's been 40 days and I want to go back to my Family.

    Jossey Saldanha, Mumbai, I don't think you could travel by road or any mode of transportation as lockdown has been extended by another two weeks. Even I am also stuck up here with my wife as our plans to go to New York with a weeks stay in Dubai. We are not sure when we will be able to travel back. We are right now enjoying our lockdown holidays. Luckily we made a week's stay in Mumbai just before the lockdown. Mumbai was my home town and I liked it except for the crowd and population. I was surprised to see the sky scrappers and one of the building was the one my parents, brother and sisters lived. Mumbai actually gave us a life in every respect and God has been great for all what he has done.

    Mr. Evans, I do live and work at San Francisco /Oakland. I came to Udupi on Jan 20th, Udupi is my hometown. I have decided to stay back for certain months cause things are not right at Bay Area.
    Udupi is the best place to eat good sea food. It's like a heaven. Personally, better to stay back few more months than taking a chance
