Udupi, May 1: Despite the nationwide lockdown due to global corona attack, Konkan Railway has decided to run one more special train service for delivering parcel between Okha and Thiruvananthapuram Central with same scheduled commercial halts and timings.
It has been arranged to ensure essential commodities are delivered to people throughout the nation during this difficult time.
The parcel train will carry commodities like medicines, medical equipment, perishable items like mango and other commodities. The first special parcel train operated on April 20 between Okha and Thiruvananthapuram Central in coordination with Western Railway.
Train no. 00933 Okha -Thiruvananthapuram Central special parcel train left from Okha at 13:10 hrs on Monday, April 27. The train will reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 12:00 hrs on the third day. Train 110 0093A Thiruvananthapuram Central - Okha parcel special will leave from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 23:00 hrs on Wednesday, April 29. The train will reach Okha at 21:40 hrs on the third day.
The composition of parcel train will be 05 VPH and 01 SLR. The train will have commercial halts at Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vasai Road Jn, Panvel, Roha, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Madgaon, Udupi, Mangalore Junction, Kannur, Calicut, Shoranur, Thrissur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam and Kollam Jn.
Interested customers who desire to transport their materials to above stations may contact parcel offices at Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Madgaon and Udupi station to book their parcel.
