Bengaluru, Apr 28 (IANS): The Karnataka government is on the lookout for interns to tackle Covid, powered by data analysis and evidence-based policy inputs, an official said on Tuesday.
"Government of Karnataka invites young post graduate students and research scholars to work as interns with the government to tackle problems and challenges in the context of Covid," Additional Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh said in a statement.
The special call for internship programme with the state Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department is open for candidates with educational background in Development Studies, Management, Data Science and Analytics.
Volunteers from Health Management, Social Statistics, Applied Statistics, Economics and other relevant realms are also invited.
"The internship is on unpaid basis, but the students will have an opportunity to work with top level government officers, eminent researchers and academicians," said Rajneesh.
The volunteers will work remotely on a given assignment for a span of six to eight weeks and will be presented a certificate for their contribution.
