Udupi: Shirur Mutt Extends Paryaya Invitation to CM

Udupi, Dec 22: As Sri Lakshmivarateertha Swamiji of Shirur Mutt here will be taking over the next Paryaya term of Sri Krishna Mutt from the outgoing Paryaya Swamiji, Sri Sugunendrateertha of Puttige Mutt on January 18, 2010, a delegation of the Mutt approached Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa recently at his residence, to extend him an invitation for the Paryaya festival.

The Chief Minister accepted the invitation and consented to attend the Paryaya festival.  The invitation was handed over to the Chief Minister by Shirur Mutt Diwan, Latavya Acharya.

State home minister, Dr V S Acharya, MLA, K Raghupati Bhat, Ranjan Kalkura, Diwakar Shetty and Vadiraj Pejattaya were present on the occasion.
