Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 6: No new coronavirus positive cases were reported in Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi districts on Monday, April 6.
In Dakshina Kannada, a total of 38,652 people have been screened so far, and 4,237 have been placed under home quarantine.
No patient has been quarantined in Wenlock hospital, while 10 have been quarantined in ESI hospital.
As many as 1,709 people have completed 28 days of home quarantine, and have not reported any symptoms. Altogether, 341 samples have been sent for testing, out of which reports of 331 have been received.
Out of 310 reports received, 319 have tested negative, while 12 have tested positive in Dakshina Kannada. On Monday, 10 samples were sent. The reports of 21 samples received on Monday have all turned out negative. Result of 10 samples is awaited.
Currently, no persons are under observation in Dakshina Kannada.
Four coronavirus-positive patients in Mangaluru, were discharged from Wenlock hospital on Monday. Three were from Kasargod while one was from Bhatkal.
In Udupi district too, no new case was reported on Monday. A total of 219 persons, completed 28 days of quarantine, and 433 completed 14 days of quarantine today.
As many as 339 persons have been placed under home quarantine. Fifteen patients were quarantined in hospitals on Monday. Four have been placed in isolation wards in hospital, out of whom all four have severe acute respiratory illness (SARI).
Nine people were discharged from isolation ward on Monday, and altogether 141 have been discharged so far.
Reports of 31 samples received on Monday have tested negative. Totally, reports of 221 samples have been received till date.
The number of coronavirus-positive patient remains at three. Reports of 45 samples are awaited. As many as 36 samples were collected on Monday, which also included 32 of those who came into contact with coronavirus-positive patients.
There were no positive coronavirus cases even on Sunday in DK and Udupi.
Kasargod
As many as nine people were tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. With this, the count has reached 151 in Kasargod. Six of the nine tested positive had returned from abroad.
As many as 13 have tested positive for coronavirus in Kerala on Monday.
