The demand came from Saumya Singh, who hails from a north Indian state and stays in ladies hostel here. After finding on March 31 that all the shops were closed, Saumya tweeted the PMO seeking supply of eggs and maggi. This tweet was noticed by additional chief secretary in Karnataka urban development department Rakesh Singh. He conveyed information to the war room here, which is headed by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. A team led by supervisor Pradyumna Rao contacted the telephone number and wanted to know what exactly the student needed. The student sought a dozen eggs and six packets of maggi. As per the instructions of higher ups, these things were promptly delivered that too free of cost.
