Udupi, Apr 1: The Infosys Foundation has sent critical medical supplies worth Rs 54 lac to Udupi to tackle coronavirus (COVID-19), according to deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha.
Essential medical equipment was donated towards the ongoing coronavirus crisis. The kit includes N95 masks, hand sanitizers, triple layer masks, surgical gloves and 1,000 personal protection kits.
As many as 4,000 N95 mask, 4,000 sanitizers, 25,000 triple layer mask, 10,000 surgical gloves, and 1,500 PPE were handed over to the district administration on Wednesday, April 1.

"Udupi district administration was facing acute shortage of these items. When we requested Sudha Murthy’s Infosys Foundation to assist us, they immediately responded and extended their helping hand.
“I thank Sudha Murthy, president of Infosys Foundation and Dr Ramdas Kamath for their generous help," said the deputy commissioner.
