Mumbai, Mar 24: A 65-year-old man who landed from UAE via Ahemdabad passed away in Maharashtra on late Monday night after being infected by the coronavirus.
With this, the death toll across India rose to 10.
Meanwhile, the positive cases in Maharashtra increased to 101, making it the worst-hit corona infected state in India.
As per a statement by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), the deceased was admitted to Kasturba Hospital in a critical condition on Monday with fever, cough and breathlessness. The patient had pre-existing health conditions, such as high blood pressure coupled with uncontrollable diabetes.
He flew down from UAE to Ahemdabad on March 15 and then reached Mumbai on March 20.
