Coronavirus outbreak: ISKCON postpones Sri Jagannath Rathotsava

Mangaluru, Mar 11: International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has postponed its Sri Jagannath Rathotsava in Mangaluru due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Rathotsava was scheduled on March 14. ISKCON organises Sri Jagannath Rathotsava every year with beautifully decorated chariots that are taken out in the streets of Mangaluru.

ISKCON Mangaluru secretary Sanandanadas said, "Due to coronavirus outbreak we have postponed the Sri Krishna Balarama Rathotsava as we need to look into safety measures of the people. As per the government orders, we are supposed to postpone the huge public gathering. Over 600 people are expected to take part for the Rathostava from Hyderabad, Chennai, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Hubli and Mumbai. We will soon announce the new date for Rathotsava."
