Mangaluru: Expert Campus Valachil conducts Flute Concert by Maestro Shashank Subramanyan

Mangaluru, Mar 9: The Grammy nominated flute maestro and a renowned exponent of bamboo flute Vidwan Shashak Subramanyan presented a flute concert in the Cultural Centre of the Expert Pre University College, Valachil.

He presented a unique blend of music which left the audience spellbound. Beginning with Vaathaapi Ganapathi in Shankarabhranam raag, he went on to perform compositions of Thyagaraja and Purandara Dasa.

The audience greatly enjoyed the richness and brilliance of the maestro.

Vidwan Subramanyan was accompanied by Vidwan Patri on the Mridangam and Sri Sathyajith Talwalkar on the tabla.

Prof Narendra L. Nayak, Chairman, Expert Group of Institutions felicitated the artistes with bouquets.

Ankush N. Nayak, Director, Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions; Architect Deepika A. Nayak; Ustad Rafique Khan, Trustee; Raghavendra Shenoy, vice principal and Santhosh Prabhu, lecturer in physics and programme director were present on the occasion.

Disha C. of M1 batch accorded a cordial welcome to the audience, compeered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
