Kundapur, Mar 9: Suhas S (22), a resident of Balkur village in the taluk, breathed his last during his bus travel from Bengaluru to his native place in his sleep.
Suhas, son of H S Sridharamurthy from Balkur, was in the final year of engineering degree course at Bengaluru. He had left for Kundapur by a private bus which left Bengaluru at around 9.45 pm on Saturday March 7. The family members who were concerned at the fact that Suhas had not reached home, called to his mobile phone at around 7.30 am on March 8. The person who received the call said that Suhas who was sleeping in the sleeper seat was not responding to efforts made to wake him up, and that his body had turned cold.
He was taken to the government hospital here where the doctors confirmed that he was no more. The doctors felt that he would have died out of cardiac arrest or some other health problem.
When Suhas was five, the family members said, he suffered from breathing problems, and stent had been inserted. The doctors had asked the family to conduct his medical tests within 20 years from then. A case of unnatural death was registered in the town police station here relating to this incident.
