Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Mar 1: As a youth who had recently returned from Libya exhibited Coronavirus symptoms, he has been admitted into the isolation ward of the district government hospital at Kanhangad. The doctors have taken throat swabs of the patient and sent them for laboratory tests.

The youth has been suffering from throat pain and cough. He had lived with another youth at China for some days. Therefore Coronavirus infection has been suspected.

At the same time, district medical officer, Dr A V Ramadas, has asked people to exercise caution in respect of people who return from Iran, Iraq and other countries. He has asked the people to report to the health department if they come across signs of Coronavirus infection in anyone. He said that similar instructions have been issued to all the hospitals in the state by the government.

First please be prepared with local testing facilities...
If you wait for one week for lab test result to come, then just imagine the consequences. ..
China has somehow contained its spreading.. China facilities are much better than India..
Just think about our local testing capabilities

WHO has declared it as a pandemic. Now it has surfaced in relatively clean and sparsely populated countries like France, Iceland, USA, S Korea etc!
Can't imagine a condition where it surfaces in India!
Our ministers are least bothered about this impending emergency, busy fighting for power and giving hate speeches against each other!

Compared to Malaysia and Iran, India is better equipped to contain the virus. The summer heat is also an added advantage which helps to prevent the virus from spreading.
