Mangaluru: Drama artiste felicitated, drama staged at Padua Theatre hub

Mangaluru, Feb 29: Padua Ranga Adhyayana Kendra Asthitva, here under the aegis of Logos Theatre troupe and in association with Arehole Prathistana on Sunday March 1 will host a multi-lingual drama festival at Padua Theatre Hub here.

Konkani drama ‘Nagdin’ translated by Padua College principal, Fr Alwyn Serrao from English to Konkani will be staged at the event. The drama is directed by Christy Neenasam.

The annual honour to the background artistes of dramatics will be bestowed this year on Sathish P B Neenasam. He has worked during the last ten years as a stage designer and technician in the field.

Sathish hails from Heggodi, Sagar taluk. He obtained a degree in dramatics and indulged continuously in drama activities as a background artiste, director, story writer and actor. He has designed stages in this year’s drama tours. “A documentary on Padua College will also be released on the occasion,” states the news release. The programme will begin exactly at 6.30 pm.
