Kasargod, Feb 27: The department of information and public relations Mangaluru in association with Kasargod Government College celebrated Borderland festival at the college auditorium.
Kasargod deputy commissioner, Dr D Sajith Babu inaugurated the programme.
“Keeping alive the multilingual culture between Karnataka and Kerala is the current inevitability. Sincere attempts will be made to create suitable communication between the two states,” he said.
College principal, Dr A L Anant Padmanabha presided over the programme. Retired professor and author, Professor Bhuvaneshwari Hegde delivered the keynote address. Chief guest, district information officer Madhusoodan, Mangaluru information and public relations senior director B A Khader Shah, corporator Savita teacher, Kasargod Government College Parent Teacher Association president, Abdul Khader B H, Kannada post graduate department head Sujatha S, vice-principal Rama, Kannur University senate member Vijayan, Raju M C and others were present.
Rafik Master compered the programme. A cultural programme was held after the hall programme.
