Kundapur, Feb 26: Temples are being the target for thieves in the vicinity of Byndoor for quite some time now. On the late night of Tuesday, thieves entered Badakere Laxmijanardhana temple and decamped with silver items worth more than Rs 10 lac.
In addition to several kilograms of silver, the thieves have also stolen the CCTV DVR and LED TV.
The silver frame that was put on the entrance door of the temple is completely removed. The value of the CCTV DVR is said to be Rs 50,000.
PSI Sangeetha, station officer of Byndoor police station is on the spot along with the canine squad and fingerprint experts.
This is the fourth such instance in the last two months. Public are scared due to the repeated attack of thieves on temples. A case in this regard is registerd in Byndoor police station.
