Margao, Nov 4: United Tribal’s Association Alliance (UTTA) on Tuesday November 3 submitted a memorandum to South Goa collector demanding closure of companies which arid the fish un open places creating nuisance to locals at Subdalle, Barxem and Quepem here.
Under the leadership of UTTA president Prakash Velip hundreds of people reached here to put their grievances with collector Gokuldas Naik. UTTA have served ultimatum to administration that if within eight days action is not taken on these companies then they will hit the roads and will launch agitation.
Speaking to daijiworld people gathered in the collector’s building said that they face problem of fish stench, thus forcing them to close windows of house throughout the day and night. People claimed that due to daily process of drying fish at local places here the wells here got polluted and pollution control board has not taken any action on these companies despite complaints.
