Panaji, Oct 29: The right wing organisation under scanner after Margao blast will not get the much expected support from the Bharatiya Janata party.

Leader of opposition Manohar Parrikar clarified on Thursday, October 29, that he does not symapathise with Sanatan Saunstha and do not agree with many of their view points.

“I am neither a member nor sympathiser of Sanatan Saunstha.  In fact I don’t agree with many of their ideological view points,” Parrikar said.

The leader of opposition was reacting to Sanatan Saunstha’s statement claiming sympathy from BJP leaders including Parrikar in the event post-Margao blast.

“Just because my statement on the blast probe benefits them, it does mean that I am their sympathiser,” Parrikar, former goa chief minister, reacted.

Contending that he does not agree with all their view points, the leader of opposition said `he does not consider that Sanatan’s philosophy is totally correct.’

“They harbour hate feeling towards certain things and I don’t agree with that. They criticise many things with the harsh words,” Parrikar added.

The leader of opposition said that his statement on Margao blast probe may have benefited them (Sanatan).

“I am in favour of justice.  State Home Minister Ravi Naik was fixing responsibility on Sanatan Saunstha without proof. That derails the investigation,” Parrikar said.

Responding to a question, the BJP leader said that Sanatan Saunstha members have approached him many a times with several issues, which he has given patient hearing. “I cannot scrutinise people based on their political affiliations or ideologies before allowing them in my chamber. I attend to everyone,” he said.

Sanatan Saunstha in their press conference on Wednesday, October 28 had named Parrikar along with BJP Goa unit chief Sripad Naik and legislator Dayanand Mandrekar as their sympathizers.

Two members of Sanatan Saunstha – Malgonda Patil and Yogesh Naik – were killed in the Margao blast. Police had claimed that the explosion occurred when both of them were ferrying the explosives on the scooter.
