Mangaluru, Feb 13: VAA invites self-nominations for T V Mohandas Pai Young Researcher Prize

Mangaluru, Feb 13: The Vishwa Konkani Scholarship Alumni Association (VAA), World Konkani Centre, here, invites self-nominations for the T V Mohandas Pai Young Researcher Prize 2020.

T V Mohandas Pai Young Researcher Prize was established to recognize promising doctoral students from the Konkani community who are engaged in innovative and relevant research in areas related to Science and Technology at an accredited university abroad.

The award constitutes a prize money of Rs 3,00,000 (Rupees three lac only) along with an award plaque and a certificate. The VAA hereby invites applications from students fulfilling the following eligibility criteria.

1. The applicant must be from the Konkani speaking community.
2. The applicant must hold a Masters degree from any of the recognized universities in India or abroad.
3. Applicants must be full-time PhD students currently involved in on-going research who are enrolled in a recognized university outside India.
4. The applicant has demonstrated potential research calibre.

Eligible candidates may self nominate by sending an email to admin@konkanischolarship.com along with a 500-word research summary, CV with email and phone number and two letters of recommendation. One reference must be from an academic advisor. Reference email addresses may be provided.

The last date to send nominations to the T V Mohandas Pai Young Researcher Prize 2020 is February 25.
