Madikeri: Teenager’s Death at District Hospital – Three Doctors Arrested

Madikeri, Oct 24: Three doctors were arrested here in connection with the death of 16-year-old student.

He arrested have been identified as Dr Ravi Kumar, Dr Abdul Aziz and Dr Vishwanath Sampi of the district hospital. The trio arrested under IPC section 304 A on the basis of complaint lodged by the deceased student's father.

The deceased student, Venkatesh was a first year student suffering from a severe stomach pain had been admitted for a surgery at the hospital on Thursday October 22. But complications developed during the surgery and he was declared dead after being moved to a private hospital.

    I totally agree with Lawrence D'Mello. These days degrees can be easily "bought" by paying capitation fees. No room for merit and talent

    Thanks to all the pvt colleges in Karnataka, where a 50 lac, gets you a MBBS degree and again thanks to all the reservations in govt colleges, where being from a sc/st, gets you admission and mind you, the powers that be, always get their treatement done abroad.

    Let us not jump into any conclusions, by hearing one side of the story. However it is sad that a life has been lost & it is time to analyse the cause for death rather than pointing fingers at people!

    First of all, let us check are these trios are really doctors or butchers. The degree they are having is the real and hard earned one or fake and bought? This is India. Incredible India and any thing is possible in India and India alone...
