Belgaum, Oct 22: Pramod Mutalik, founder of Sri Rama Sene, who appears to be on the hunt for a controversy always, announced that his Srirama Sene will outwit and drive out 'Love Jehad' within a year. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday October 21, he said that the Sene will achieve the objective by creating awareness among the Hindu girls.
"All-India level awareness programme against this menace will be launched by distributing pamphlets and CDS in Kannada, Hindi, English and Marathi languages during December this year. By making the girls aware of the plans of those behind 'Love Jehad', we will ensure that it will soon slink into the obliviion," Mutalik said.
Mutalik said that about 150 activists of the Sene have been deployed around the internet and BPO centres, public places, schools and colleges in the city, to keep an eye on suspicious activities. He said that a helpline has also been started for the needy people and wherever a 'Love Jehad' activity is identified, it will be stopped then and there. Already the Sene has intervened and stopped 25% of such activities, he claimed.
He alleged that after getting the Hindu girls converted into Islam through 'Love Jehad', the girls are trained in anti-national activities. The parents of the girls are threatened by Muslim organizations, he stated. “I have asked the activists of the Sene to ensure that five Muslim girls are converted into Hinduism, even if one Hindu girl is converted into Islam through ‘Love Jehad”, he announced.
Sene state leader Vilas Pawar, Dhananjay Jadhav and others were present.
