Mangaluru, Feb 5: In a case filed against Kalladka Dr Prabhakar Bhat and others who allegedly violated Supreme Court guidelines in replicating Babri Masjid demolition during the annual sports festival of Kalladka Sri Ram educational institutions, the police are awaiting opinion of legal experts to precede in the case.
At the programme held on December 15 last year, Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi, Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police B M Laxmi Prasad and others were present. The students of the school had presented a 15-minute act in which Babri Masjid demolition and construction of Ram Mandir were exhibited.

Popular Front of India Kalladka unit president Abubakker Siddique, had filed complaint against the concerned, on the basis of which case against Prabhakar Bhat and four others was registered in Bantwal police station on December 17. The case was filed under section 265 A pertaining to hurting religious sentiments and section 298. So far, the accused and witnesses have not been questioned nor a decision about filing charge sheet been taken.
Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police B M Laxmi Prasad said that the said skit had been presented by children. Therefore, opinion from legal experts at Bengaluru has been sought and further action would be taken once their opinion is received.
