Mangaluru, Feb 3: Angered by the incessant attack launched on him by the BJP leaders and others through different forums and social websites, former minister and MLA U T Khader, has hit back.
Khader pointed out that those who are passing comments about housing scheme not being implemented by him at Ullal Ombattukere should personally visit the spot and check the facts for themselves. "As many as 390 houses were built there in 2002 itself. As the locals approached the court and brought a stay order, the work could not progress further. I will soon reveal the names of people who went to court and secured stay order," he stated.
Speaking to media persons, he took his detractors to task for commenting by sitting at homes instead of personally visiting the spot and see that houses had been built there long back.
Khader said that it is the responsibility of the current government to complete the housing scheme works which was started by him at Ombattukere. "Let them discharge their responsibilities instead of trolling me unnecessarily, which is a waste of time," he added.
The legislator noted that the BJP activists are now trolling the issue by giving call for 'Ullalag Bale (cometo Ullal) through social websites. He offered to drive them to the spot personally if they are ready to come there.
Dakshina Kannada district Congress president Harish Kumar and others were present.
