Dubai, Feb 2: Kanara Entrepreneurs Limited (KEL) Dubai chapter is organising a session on 'BSE-SME platform - Exchange of the future’ on February 8 at Utsav Hall, Indian Club, next to Indian High School, Oud Mehta Road, Dubai.
BSE-SMEs CEO Ajay Thakur and Altina Securities Pvt Ltd director Clifton Desilva are the eminent speakers for the session, who will share their expertise and provide guidance on the value of listing of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) on BSE. Participants will get a better understanding on subjects such as ‘SME companies and their huge potential as wealth creators’, 'The BSE-SME platform - A new avenue to raise funds in India', and ‘Creating significant wealth in the stock market by investing at an early stage in companies with huge growth potential'.
The talks will culminate with a panel discussion involving promoters of some of the companies listed on the BSE-SME exchange sharing their experience.

About the speakers:
Ajay Thakur is the CEO of BSE-SMEs, one of the captains at Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), India`s largest stock market. For the last 19 years, he has been at BSE and crossing major milestones. After joining BSE Ltd. as head, arbitration and business development, he has developed the derivatives segment of BSE Ltd. and was actively involved in the opening of regional centres across the country. Currently as Head of BSE SME, responsible for the development of this segment, he successfully launched the SME platform on March 13, 2012 and thus it became the first exchange to launch in India.
Clifton Desilva is director, Altina Securities Pvt Ltd which is a valued member of the National Stock Exchange of India. Desilva, a former Investment manager and director at Tatas, has also managed the investment portfolio of the Nehru family, Singhania family and Dr Karan Singh family to name a few. He has also interacted with the Ambanis, Mittals, Narayan Murthy and several other conglomerates during their start-up days.
