Mangaluru, Jan 27: One of the much-awaited Konkani music albums, ‘Mogachi Lahran – Volume 11’, of Vincent Fernandes Cascia, was released during Bondel Fiesta at St Lawrence Church here on Sunday, January 26.
Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangaluru, released the album, James Mendonca, entrepreneur, Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest, Bondel Church, Fr Onil D’Souza, director, St Antony Ashram, Jeppu, Fr Harold Mascarenhas, parish priest, Cascia, Walter Nadalike, founder, Daijiworld Media, Louis Pinto, president, Mandd Sobhann, Mark Fernandes, J R Lobo, former MLA, Roy Castelino, former president, Konkani Sahitya Academy, Cannon Lobo of Berry’s, producer of the album, were present.
Congratulating Vincent Bishop said, “Music makes humans feel something special and it helps him relax. In a stress-filled life, music is much needed. We should encourage people who produce music. Vincent Fernandes is known for his talents. He always keeps himself busy with entertainment projects. Today, his 11th volume of ‘Mogachi Lahram’ has released. I congratulate him and wish all success in his future projects.”
Lavita Menezes briefed about Vincent and ‘Mogachi Lahran – Volume 11’. Roshan Kamath rendered the vote of thanks followed by musicl nite. Various dances were held by D Gallery, Sandesh and team, Kulshekar.
The album contains lyrics and tunes of Vincent Fernandes composed by Ashith Pinto, Konkani’s highly experienced composer and ambassador of new generation music fame Keerthan.
Along with Vincent, who is already popular for his melodious voice, known singing stars of Konkani music world Ivan Sequeira, Rony Crasta Kulshekar, Rony Valencia, Iqbal, Gulf Voice of Mangalore fame Joshal Sweeda, Daijiworld TV’s ‘Mozho Thalo Gaithalo’ singing reality show finalist Samson Coelho, young sensation Joel D’Souza, Asha Fernandes, Thelma D’Souza, Annson, Prithuma Montheiro, Jancy Fernandes and Master Olin and Braun have rendered their voices to this album.
‘Mogachi Lahran - Volume 11’ consists 11 songs, rich in poetic style and melody, touching upon social issues besides the theme of love, romance and Konkani culture. The album is recorded at Daijiworld Audio Visual Studio and mixed and mastered by Srikanth Srinivas.
