Kundapur, Jan 27: The body of K G Ganesh (49), resident of Chikkensal Road here, who had jumped into River Panchagangavali from Herikudru bridge at around 5 pm on Sunday, January 26 was found from Bugrikadu near Hemmady in the taluk on Monday, January 27 morning.
Ganesh, who was running a hotel in Mumbai for several years, had returned and settled down at his native place a couple of years ago. So far, there have been any clues why he took this unfortunate decision of ending his life as there are no apparent issues which would have driven him to take such a drastic decision.

Efforts made by locals and fire brigade yesterday to trace the mortal remains had failed to yield any results.

Kundapur, Jan 27: A person who was running hotel business at Mumbai jumped into Panchagangavali river from atop Herikudru bridge here. The fire brigade and others launched extensive search for the person but he remained untraced till late night on Sunday, January 26.
The person who plunged into the river was K G Ganesh (49), a resident of Chikkensal Road here. He had arrived in an auto rickshaw and got down at the said bridge. He then left his Aadhar card and purse on the ledge of the bridge before jumping. Someone who saw this act raised an alarm. People in the vicinity gathered there immediately and started searching for him. The fire brigade which got to know about the incident also came there and conducted several rounds of search operations but failed to get any clue about the whereabouts of the man.
Ganesh had gone to Mumbai several years back, and had steadily and gradually come up in life and had been identified as a successful hotelier. About two years back, he had suffered from bouts of depression and therefore settled down in his native place.
Ganesh seemed to be leading a happy life in the company of wife and two children. There is no clue why he took this extreme step.
