Kasargod, Jan 23: The crime branch team led by deputy superintendent of police, A Satish Kumar, has been investigating the death of a teacher of Vidyavardhaka School at Meeyapadavu near Kumble, from various angles.
The team has once again interrogated a teacher of the said school. The teacher is said to have claimed that he was on leave from January 13 to 16 and that he had not met the lady teacher concerned, Roopashree (40), during this period. He informed that during these days, the teacher had called him four times over phone.
The deputy superintendent of police visited the residence of the teacher concerned and obtained statements of the concerned. The police stated that clear cause for the death of the woman can be confirmed only after the forensic laboratory test report is received.
The women's commission too has sought details from te district police. Member of the commission Dr Shahida Kumar, said that further steps will be taken once report from the police is received.
