Bengaluru, Jan 22: The state high court, on Tuesday January 21, passed an order, seeking personal presence of legislators Anand Singh and J N Ganesh. The two legislators had fought when they were put up in Eagalton Resort at Bidadi, and have now come forward to strike a compromise.

Ganesh has filed an application seeking to quash the case. The application came up for consideration before a bench presided over by Justice B A Patil. Advocate for Anand Singh filed affidavit on behalf of his client, duly undertaking not to continue with the complaint, and to settle the issue out of the court through dialogues.

The bench wanted to know whether the petitioner and defendant are present in the court. When advocate for Ganesh answered in the negative and confirmed that the affidavit was signed by the complainant, the bench said that there is no guarantee that the parties concerned had signed the affidavit. He wanted both the MLAs to be present in the high court. The judge said that anything can happen at this era and hence reiterated the earlier instruction to produce both of them in the court and file a joint memo. He said that the compromise will be permitted only if these two conditions ate fulfilled.

Ganesh had filed application in the high court earlier, claiming that he had not launched murderous assault on Anand and that it was not a murder attempt. He said that when fight broke out, for self-defence, he had made some efforts. As there are no evidences to prove his guilt, he had sought quashing of the first information report and charge sheet.
