Mangaluru Jan 21: Former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy said that the bomb which was planted in Mangaluru International Airport seems to be a part of a mock drill.
Addressing media here on Tuesday, January 21, Kumaraswamy said, "When there was coalition government, the coastal belt was peaceful. Law and order was maintained and there was no violence in the region. After BJP came to power, violence has taken over.”
"The bomb was detonated and I could see only smoke coming out. This looks like a mock drill done by the police. Is the government trying to scare people of the district?” questioned H D Kumaraswamy.
He also said, “I feel some organisations are trying to create misunderstanding and violence between two communities in order to execute their hidden agenda. Government should convey the truth regarding the issue and the probe has to be completed at the earliest.”
When asked about district BJP president Sanjeev Matandoor’s statement that treatment has to be given to Kumaraswamy in NIMHANS and his brain mapping has to be done, H D Kumaraswamy said," Everyone needs to undergo brain mapping test including Modi and Amit Shah. I am not afraid of such tests as I speak the truth.”
H D Kumaraswamy inaugurated door to door campaign aimed to create awareness on ill-effects of Citizenship (Amendment) Act, National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) at Kotepura, Ullal. He also inaugurated anti-CAA protest rally on boats.
JD(S) district president Mohammed Kunjhi, MLC B M Farooq, Aboobakkar Natekal, M B Sadashiv, Akshith Suvarna and others were present.
