Udupi, Jan 21: Catholic Sabha Udupi has lodged a police complaint with district SP requesting to take action against a person who published derogatory statements against Udupi diocese Bishop Dr Gerald Issac Lobo.
The complaint stated, “Udupi diocese level conference of Catholics was held in Santekatte Mount Rosary Church premises on January 19. Bishop Dr Gerald Issac Lobo had inaugurated the conference. “The Catholic community is living in Udupi with peace and tranquillity for the past several years. It is unfortunate that some people are trying to spoil harmony,” said Catholic Sabha in its complaint urging for suitable legal action against the person and ensure that such incidents do not repeat.
