H D Kumaraswamy calls Mangaluru bomb detonation a ‘mock show’

Bengaluru, Jan 21: Former Karnataka CM H D Kumaraswamy is doubting the entire Mangaluru bombing incident and also calling its detonation a ‘mock show’.

Kumaraswamy asked the state government not to spin a bomb scare at Mangaluru airport for its advantage.

On Monday, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) had found an improvised explosive device (IED) in a suspicious bag at the Mangaluru airport.

Kumaraswamy accused state government of creating a situation of conflict between communities. He said that police have asked for one month to trace the culprits, however it should not be difficult to trace them, he said.

The Karnataka BJP came down heavily on H D Kumaraswamy for his comments.

“He doubted surgical strikes. He released doctored CDs to show that Peaceful Protesters didn't indulge in violence. Now he is blaming Police for the live bomb diffused in Mangaluru. Is there no end to Appeasement Politics by former CM @hd_kumaraswamy? Why cry for Jihadis?” hit back BJP with a tweet from its official handle.


Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai said his government would 'identify the anti-national forces who want to terrorize people and create panic'.

    I have recently saw the TV statement of HDK in Mangalore about the detection of a live bomb at airport.

    I feel HDK knows complete details of the bomb found at MIA. He knows the chemistry of the powder used in the bomb. He knows the community of the person who planted the bomb. So he claims detonation of the bomb as a mock exercise. I think NIA can get full details of the incident by discussing with HDK and solve the mystery at the earliest.

    So the bjp Karnataka has already decided before the police, that jihadi ( in other words indicating Muslims) have only placed the bomb.
    And what kind of investigation or justice we can expect from the ruling govt.
